Oahu-based military units are convoying from Kawaihae Harbor to Pohakuloa Training Area today, Thursday and Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Oahu-based military units are convoying from Kawaihae Harbor to Pohakuloa Training Area today, Thursday and Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The convoys will take the Kawaihae Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway, Waikoloa Road, Mamalahoa Highway and Saddle Road.

Then, on Friday and Saturday, a Hilo-based military unit will convoy from Keaukaha Military Reserve in Hilo to PTA, heading up Kanoelehua Avenue, Puainako Avenue and the Saddle Road.

Sunday, the unit will return to the military reservation using the same roads.

This convoy will have police escorts during each trip. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.
